ANSI/ICEA S-76-474 Overhead Triplex Service Drop Cable Aluminum Conductor
Application
Triplex Service Drop Cable aluminum conductors are used to supply power from the utility’s lines to the consumer’s weatherhead. They are for service at 600 volts or less (phase to phase) at a conductor temperature of 75℃ maximum for polyetlene Insulation or 90℃ maximum for crosslinked insulation.
Construction
Triplex overhead wire with concentric strand or compressed 1350-H19 conductor, polyetlene or crosslinked polyetlene insulation, but there are five kinds of concentric stranded neutral messengers as follows:
Phase conductor:
Circular stranded, rounded, aluminum conductor 1350
Phase Core Identification:
colour strip, rib or number
Neutral/Messenger conductor:
Bare AAC, ACSR, alloy 6201 AAAC
Insulation:
Black color polyetlene(PE) or crosslinked polyetlene(XLPE)
