ACSR Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced is used as bare overhead transmission cables and as primary and secondary distribution cables.

Advantages

This kind of overhead line conductors offer optimal strength for line design. Variable stranding steel cores enable desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.

Construction

Aluminum 1350-H19 wires, concentrically stranded about a steel core. Core wire for ACSR is available with class A, B, or C galvanizing. Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the corer or infusion of the complete cable with grease.

Packing

Delivery lengths are determined from a consideration of such factors as psical drum dimensions, drum weights, span length, handling equipment or the customer’s request.
