Cemented carbide is an alloy of tungsten carbide and cobalt.Tungsten carbide is the main component and give the hardness.Cobalt is the binder phase and gives the toughness.Cubic carbide is added in order to affect properties like hot hardness,deformation resistance and chemical wear resistance.
