The addition of a zinc layer can protect the steel sheet from corrosion and oxidation.
Protects against bacteria, microorganisms and other contaminants.
There is no deformation or breakage during processing, etc., and the processing performance is good.
The overall process of producing hot rolled galvanized steel can be divided into the following steps:
1. Steel preparation: The initial steel plate is cut to the required dimensions and then fed into the subsequent processing steps.
2. Before the treatment, the surface of the steel plate is cleaned by acid washing to eliminate unwanted oxidation layers and impurities, resulting in a smooth and clean steel surface.
3. Hot rolling is a process used to flatten and shape steel plates. The steel plate is first heated to the appropriate temperature and then passed through a rolling mill. As the plate passes through the mill, it is rolled, resulting in a flatter and more uniform surface. This process continues until the plate reaches the desired size and thickness.
4. After the steel plate is produced, a layer of oxide skin forms on its surface. This oxide skin needs to be removed, and a common method to achieve this is to apply sulphuric acid to the surface of the steel plate. This acid etching process removes the oxide skin from the plate’s surface.
5. Galvanising is the process of coating steel sheets with zinc to protect them from corrosion. To achieve this, the steel sheets are first treated to remove the oxide layer. Then, a sealer is applied to ensure that the zinc layer adheres well to the surface of the steel plate. This process results in a surface of higher quality, stronger mechanical properties, and greater stability.
6. Finishing: After all of the above stages have been completed, the machine can be used to further process and treat the steel plate to produce the desired shape and appearance.
Hot rolled galvanized steel sheet is mainly used in the automotive, appliance and construction industries.
In automotive manufacturing, it is commonly used in body structures and components to improve corrosion resistance and durability.
In the production of household appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators, hot rolled galvanized sheet is widely used. It is also used in the construction industry for building structures, roofing sheets, and wall panels.
With the economy rapidly developing and industrial structure adjusting, there is a growing demand for steel galvanized sheets, leaving ample room for growth in the galvanized steel plate market. Galvanized steel plate coil market prospects are promising.
