Introduction:

JCB2-40M is a low voltage miniature circuit breaker (MCB). It is a 1P+N circuit breaker with 1 module 18mm width.
JCB2-40M DPN circuit breaker is designed to offer enhanced protection by preventing, protecting people and equipment from electrical threats. They provide protection against overload current and short circuit protection and Switch function. Its fast closing mechanism and high performance limitation improve its service life.
JCB2-40M miniature circuit breaker (MCB) is a protective device that’s equipped with both a thermal and an electromagnetic release. The former responds in the event of an overload, while the latter offers protection against short circuits.
JCB2-40M short circuit breaking capacity is up ot 6kA at 230V/240V ac conforming to IEC60897-1 & EN 60898-1. They comply with with both industrial standard EN/IEC 60898-1 and residential standard EN/IEC 60947-2.
JCB2-40 circuit breaker has an electrical endurance going up to 20000 cycles and a mechanical endurance going up to 20000 cycles.
JCB2-40M circuit breaker is compatible with prong-type supply busbar/ DPN pin type Busbar. They are 35mm din rail mounted.
JCB2-40M circuit breaker has an IP20 degree of protection (as per IEC/EN 60529) on its terminals. The operating temperature is -25°C to 70°C. The storage temperature is -40°C to 70°C. The operating frequency is 50Hz or 60Hz. The Ui rated insulation voltage is 500VAC. The Uimp rated impulse withstand voltage is 4kV.
JCB2-40M circuit breaker is available with tripping characteristics B, C and D, is equipped with a red-green contact-position indicator for indicating the device state.
JCB2-40M circuit breaker is Used for overload and short circuit protection of lighting, power distribution lines and equipment in office buildings, residences and similar buildings, and can also be used for infrequent on-off operations and conversion of lines. Mainly used in various places such as industry, commerce, high-rise and civil residence.
JCB2-40M circuit breaker is intended for the protection of circuits against overloads and short circuits. Upstream and downstream bi-stable DIN rail latches facilitate the mounting of the circuit breakers onto the DIN rail. Theses devices can be locked in the off position by the use of the integrated locking facility on the toggle. This lock allows you to insert a 2.5-3.5mm cable tie where you can fit a warning card if necessary and allows a safer working environment for all personnel.
As with all of our products, this product comes with a 5 Year Warranty. This is so that you can have peace of mind knowing that if a fault arises within a five year period, we will cover the cost of replacing the product and it’s installation by an authorised electrician. In other words, we have got your back.

When selecting the right type of circuit breaker for a particular application, the following three criteria must be taken into account:

1) Current limiting class (= selectivity class)
MCBs are divided into the current limiting (selectivity) classes 1, 2 and 3, which are based on the switch-off time under short-circuit conditions.

2) Rated current
The rated current indicates the current values that a MCB can permanently withstand at an ambient temperature of 30 °C (in residential and commercial applications).

3) Tripping characteristics
Circuit breakers with tripping characteristics B and C are the most common types, as they are the standard in both residential and commercial applications.
