Self-priming centrifugal pump is a kind of centrifugal pump. Refers to the centrifugal pump that can automatically pump out the gas in the suction pipe and normally deliver the liquid without priming the pump when it is started again, except that it needs to be primed before the first start.

The pump is equipped with a suction chamber at the inlet, and the suction pipe is above the center line of the impeller. After the pump is stopped, a part of the liquid remains in the suction chamber. The suction impeller, after mixing in the impeller (inner mixing type) or at the outlet of the impeller (outer mixing type), enters the gas-liquid separation chamber added at the outlet to separate the gas and liquid, the gas is discharged out of the pump, and the liquid returns to the suction chamber until the suction pipe Filled with fluid, delivers fluid normally. The self-priming process can be completed within tens of seconds, and the self-priming capacity can reach more than 9m water column.
