There are a lot of surface temperature measurement problems in actual industrial production. But the environmental conditions, the temperature sensor, and the surface being measured interact to form a complex system. Various influencing factors directly or indirectly affect the accuracy of surface temperature. Therefore, surface temperature measurement is a measurement that is often needed but difficult to perform.
If the temperature sensor with the usual shape (such as needle, ball, cylinder, etc.) is used, the measurement error will be caused by the thermal conduction of the sensor’s own shape interfering with the original temperature field. Therefore, a special surface thermometer should be used for the accurate measurement of surface temperature. In other words, a thermometer with a special surface temperature sensor should be used to accurately measure the surface temperature. Typically, dedicated surface temperature sensors are sheet-like shapes with extremely thin thickness.
